UPDATE:Dogs Running at Large near Franko Park have been contained and removed

UPDDATE: Dogs have been removed from Eastern Salisbury. Now that they are not running at large their behavior has changed. They are safe and calm. The Salisbury Township Police Department has been getting reports of two aggressive dogs running at large in and around the area of Franko Park and South Mountain. These dogs have been spotted multiple times at Franko Park, Honeysuckle Road, and East Rock Road. We are working with the State Dog Warden, Animal Control, and residents to try and locate and trap these two dogs and remove them safely. They have not been friendly and usually run when observed. Republic Services’ Summer Hours

 

Please be advised that Salisbury Township has authorized Republic Services to start as early as 4:00 a.m. on forecasted days of extreme heat this summer.  Please be sure to place garbage and recycling curbside no later than the evening before to facilitate collection.

Due to the Red Quality Air Alert, the Movie Night at Lindberg Park, as well as the regularly-scheduled Wednesday evening Playground Program, is cancelled tonight, June 28.  Movie Night at Lindberg Park will now take place on Wednesday, July 5 at 7:30 p.m.

The Salisbury Township Municipal Building will be closed on Tuesday, June 27 due to curb installation, and the parking lot will be inaccessible.  Please note that this work is weather permitting.  If you have a water emergency during this time, you may reach the  Department of Public Works by calling 610-797-4000 and pressing option number 2.  If you have a police non-emergency, you may call 610-797-1447.  

Summer Playground Program Update – Green Acres Park

Due to low registration, the Township’s Summer Playground Program will not be held at Green Acres Park.  As an alternative, families may utilize either Lindberg Park or Devonshire Park.
