Lehigh County Authority has issued a Drinking Water Warning – Boil Your Water Before Using
Recent Water Pressure fluctuations have been experienced in the City of Allentown’s (Southside) as well as areas of Salisbury Township (Devonshire, Lehigh St. and Oxford Park). These conditions are a result of a 36” water main break in Allentown. PA on Devonshire Rd. between Mack Blvd. and 12th St. The Advisory and map can be found at Lehigh County Authority website at lehighcountyauthority.org. In observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, Republic Services will not collect trash on Friday, December 25th and Friday, January 1st. This only impacts residents who have trash collection on Fridays. Collection will resume on your next scheduled pickup day (Tuesday, December 29th and Tuesday, January 5th).

Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Salisbury will hold a public hearing via the Zoom online meeting platform and act on the following:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE NON-UNIFORMED EMPLOYEES DEFINED BENEFIT PENSION PLAN ADMINISTERED BY THE PENNSYLVANIA MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM SO THAT EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTIONS FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2021 ARE REDUCED TO TWO PERCENT (2.0%) OF COMPENSATION
A copy of the full text of the proposed ordinance (download the ordinance here) may be examined at www.salisburytownshippa.org or the Salisbury Township Municipal Building, 2900 South Pike Avenue, Allentown, PA during normal business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; at the Lehigh County Department of Law, 17 S. 7th St, Allentown, PA and at the office of this newspaper during normal business hours.
