CORONAVIRUS STATEMENT

In response to the rapidly changing news regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, Salisbury Township is temporarily modifying some of the ways business is conducted. During this time, the Township continues to be committed to providing the community with exceptional service.

TOWNSHIP OFFICES ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC IN ORDER TO LIMIT PERSONAL CONTACT, EFFECTIVE

03/17/20. Staff will continue to be available during normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm via phone or e-mail to answer any questions or conduct routine business. The Township’s office phone number is 610-797-4000 and general email is info@salisburylehighpa.gov. Outlined below are additional temporary modifications:

  • In-person payment of all utility bills will not be accepted. Payments must be mailed in the envelope provided with the bill, or via our online bill payment platform located on the Township’s website at https://salisburylehighpa.gov/township-government/departments/finance/pay-your- utility-bill-online/. If you need assistance with the online bill paying option, please call 484-661- 5815 or 610-797-4000 for help.
  • In-person payment of tax bills will not be accepted.  Payments of Township taxes must  be mailed to the address indicated on the tax bill – Linda J. Minger, 2900 S. Pike Avenue, Allentown, PA 18103. If you need to contact the Tax Collector with any inquiries, she can be reached at 610-871-0252 or lminger@salisburysd.org.
  • The Township’s Devonshire and Franko Yard Waste Drop-Off sites will be closed until further notice. Additional information will be posted on the Township’s website as it becomes available.
  • The Township will not be accepting any further park pavilion reservation or ballfield permit requests until further notice. Additional information will be posted on the Township’s website as it becomes available. Current pavilion reservations may be subject to change as new information is received.
  • [Updated 03/20/20] While the Township’s parks remain open at this time for walking and leisure, we strongly discourage your use the of park facilities and equipment or conducting any organized activities in our public spaces in adherence to social distancing guidelines.
  • [Updated 03/20/20] In response to the Governor’s Order issued 03/19/20 at 3:30pm, the Township’s third-party inspection agency, CodeMaster/Barry Isett & Assoc., Inc., is ceasing operations effective today at 3pm.
  • [Updated 03/20/20] Due to the Governor’s Order and CodeMaster/Barry Isett & Assoc., Inc.’s closure, the Township will NOT be accepting any permit applications until further notice. If you have any questions, please contact Community Development Department staff at 484-661-5825 or 484- 661-5812 for additional assistance.
  • At this time, trash and recycling curbside service will be collected as scheduled.
  • The Township’s Public Works Department, both the Highway and Utility division, will continue their works as usual, unless and until it becomes necessary to revise or amend those services, as more information regarding the Coronavirus becomes available.
  • The Salisbury Township Police Department has issued separate guidance on the Department’s plan of action during this time and their procedure for addressing non-emergency calls. More information is available at https://salisburypolice.org/.

Public Meetings

At this time, all Salisbury Township public meetings are hereby canceled until April 15, 2020 with the exception of the April 9th Board of Commissioners meeting.

  • The March 18, 2020 Environmental Advisory Council meeting has been canceled.
  • The March 26, 2020 Board of Commissioners meeting has been canceled.
  • The April 7, 2020 Zoning-Hearing Board meeting has been canceled.
  • The April 14, 2020 Planning Commissioner meeting has been canceled.
  • The April 9, 2020 Board of Commissioners meeting is currently scheduled as usual, but that is subject to change. Additional information will be posted on the Township’s website as it becomes available.
